Emirates RDF is a joint-venture consisting of UAE based contractors BESIX and Tech Group holding together with Finland based Griffin Refineries. The project is a Public-Private-Partnership implementing a Build – Operate – Transfer (BOT) scheme with a 15-year post-construction operational phase. The project is part of the Initiatives of His Highness the U.A.E. president and is followed up by The President’s Initiatives Committee (Ministry of Presidential Affairs). By treating waste coming from the emirates of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, Emirates RDF contributes to the U.A.E. strategic objective of landfill diversion of least 75% by 2021 and it helps cement plants in decreasing their use of fossil fuels.

Cutting Edge

Towards

Integrated Waste

Management

Commercial Operations will start 1st October 2020. The facility consists of two fully automated process lines using Finnish state of the art equipment supplied by BMH technology. It has the capacity to treat up to 1500 tons/day of solid waste and yearly generate 300.000 tons high quality alternative fuel for cement plants. KNOW MORE
